Vehicle collision causes power outage

According to the Yuma Police Department, on Saturday morning at about 2:00, a red Jeep Cherokee veered off the road and struck a power pole which caused a power outage in the surrounding area.

The vehicle was driving down the 1200 block of W 24th Street.

The 17-year-old male driver was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

According to YPD, speed and alcohol are thought to be factors in this case but is still under investigation.
