Camp to teach kids about first aid learning

Medic First will be offering a camp in El Centro to educate children on the fundamentals of first-aid training this week.

The camp will be held from Thursday, August 2nd through Saturday, August 4th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m at Peggy’s Place located at 561 W Main St.

Medic First focuses on providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED), and First Aid training programs that are easy to learn.

The First Aid Camp 4 Kids teaches first aid learning for children in a fun and safe environment. The camp will be taught by medical professionals where children will be able to learn from topics such as obstruction of the airway and drowning, treating burns, control bleeding, seizure, and CPR.

The children that participate will receive a First Aid Camp 4 Kids shirt, snacks, a sports water bottle, and a certificate of participation.
