Officers investigating armed robbery

The Yuma Police Department is investigating an armed robbery call on 12th Avenue and 8th Street. YPD said officers are still at the scene.

According to an employee at a local laundromat, it happened in the parking lot of a shopping center of the 1200 block of West 8th Street.

“No, there were no injuries. They just threatened the man and I think the person gave all his belongings to the suspects,” said the employee. “My co-worker told me that the suspects were of color that had threatened the other man with a gun.”

YPD said so far no injuries have been reported.

Officers do believe a vehicle was involved.
