San Luis High School Drama to hold one-night performance
SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - The San Luis High School (SLHS) Drama Department is hosting a special one-night performance of "Murd-Arr! Pirates of the Salty Dog!"
The play will be presented in the SLHS cafeteria at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 7. Tickets are $7 at the door.
The play is lighthearted, filled with sword fights, romance and mystery. There will even be prizes drawn for participating audience members.
The performance will feature the On-Deck Players, a community theatre trope composed of local professionals who share the students' love of theatre and comedy.
SLHS Drama teacher Timothy Ames is a member of the trope.
"I wanted to bring my personal theatre troupe here to San Luis High School to lead by example," Ames said.
"I ask my students to challenge themselves every day by stepping out and performing in front of their peers."
Support the arts! All proceeds will go towards the SLHS Drama Club.
