Car hits pedestrian on El Centro street
An El Centro woman goes to the hospital after a car hit her as she crossed a street outside a crosswalk.
It happened just before 11 Thursday night on Danenberg Drive near the railroad tracks.
El Centro police say 28-year-old Emily Valdez initially tried to leave the scene. However, when paramedics arrived, they took her to the hospital with injuries to her head, leg, and foot. Police say none of her injuries were serious.
The driver of the vehicle wasn’t hurt.
