Local dealer presents non profit with check
It’s an all to common occurrence; ads playing on the radio or television or even full page ads in your local newspaper all showing you a particular holidays sales event.
This past Labor Day was not different and as business throughout the Desert Southwest geared up for their sales event one local business was taking a different approach.
The bottom line is sales is to stay in the black; but Hyundai of Yuma decided that they would donate a slice of their profits. The objective was simple; for every car they sold during their event, they would donate a hundred dollars to the United Way of Yuma County.
Here’s a little math; a hundred dollars a car with an end result of five thousand dollars being donated, what’s the answer?
On Wednesday, representatives from the United Way met with Hyundai of Yuma management to receive a check for the five thousand dollars. That donation in turn will be used to benefit United Way community partners throughout Yuma County.
John Baladi Hyundai of Yuma’s General Manager stated that this is just the way they do business and giving back to their community is just part of being part of the community.
