New indoor swap meet brings hope to local vendors
Swap meet vendors who lost their business in last years devastating Santo Tomas fire are now moving on.
Despite talks to rebuild the swap meet, efforts put forth by the City of Calexico and Santo Thomas owners were not enough to keep the swap meet in business.
A group of vendors from Santo Tomas are now venturing into a new business.
Vendors have gathered together to open up Calexico Indoor Swap Meet.
The new indoor swap meet is located at 438 Grant Street. It’s the location that was once home to Calexico’s Garcia Food.
Vendors at the Calexico Indoor Swap Meet will be celebrating their grand opening tomorrow August 16, at 7:00 p.m.
