The Imperial Irrigation District is on a conserve alert starting Thursday

IID wants the community to help save energy

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Imperial Irrigation District (IID) said by conserving energy we can take stress off the energy grid, maintain reliable energy delivery service and help avert rotating power outages.

The conserve alert is in effect Thursday through Saturday.

They ask to please conserve energy during the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Set the AC to 78 degrees or higher and turn off unnecessary lights.
