News 11 Weather Authority: Heating apex

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The latest ridge in the West reached it's temperature high point on this Thursday.

Daytime highs have maximized in the range of 103 to 106 degrees from Yuma to the Imperial Valley.

Even though a disturbance will move through the Pacific Northwest in the coming days, it won't do much more than slightly lower our mercury level through the coming weekend.

Beyond that, the feelings of Summer will strengthen as we roll through the 1st full week of June.
