News 11 Weather Authority: The 80s have landed

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - The latest mercury surge has pushed our daytime highs in the low 80s on this Wednesday.

The current temperature readings are several degrees above normal for this time of year.

The rise should even continue into the upcoming weekend, with potential to get to near record levels.

The Western ridge should start to weaken early next week.
