Drinking black tea may lower risk of death

(KYMA, KECY/CNN) - Researchers have found that drinking tea may reduce your chance of death from... Well, almost everything.

A study looked at nearly 500-thousand people 40 to 69 years old who reported their tea drinking habits.

Now... We're talking about black tea here... Not green tea -- which has already been well studied.

10 years after the original multi-year long survey was completed in 20-10... Researchers found people who drank at least two cups of black tea a day saw health benefits.

They were less likely to die from several causes... Including heart disease and stroke.

It didn't seem to even matter if they added milk or sugar --

The results are far from conclusive -- but they are giving scientists insights into the possible health benefits of black tea.
