Nevada teen creates charity to support senior citizens

(KYMA, KECY/CNN) - A 14-year-old from Nevada created a charity to send handmade cards to senior citizens.

The former Nevada spelling bee champion began "Uplifting Deliveries" after volunteering at a nursing home.

She says she noticed how socially isolated senior citizens can be so she partnered with her local restaurants to deliver meals and handmade cards.
