Yuma Diablos gear up for summer tournament

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Faron Owl's Yuma Diablos are preparing are a world series baseball tournament in Mesa over the weekend.
Owl tries to balance the desire to win these tournaments with focusing on improving each player individually.
"For the younger guys, it's more of instructional portion of it," Owl said. "The idea is trying to get them better. So when they go back to their high schools, they play well. If we could develop well and they [play] fundamental baseball, that will carry over to wins."
The Diablos have six players who have graduated high school on their roster. The Diablos offer a great preparation for these players ahead of their freshman years.
The tournament starts on Friday in Mesa.
