Honoring our Seniors: Gila Ridge Baseball, Walker Mellon

In honor of COVID-19 bringing the cancellation of spring high school athletics, we’d like to honor those senior student-athletes who did not get to play one last final season.

Today we highlight Gila Ridge baseball senior student-athlete, Walker Mellon.
Mellon is a four-year varsity baseball player on the Hawks squad. Coach James Kuzniak described Mellon as a huge part of their program.

“He’s been a huge part of our varsity team the past four seasons. He was our starting DH for our region championship team as a junior and was our starting first baseman in his senior season. Mature beyond his years, he was a leader on and off the field and was a big bat in the middle of our line up.”
