SLRC shooting: 2 dead, 3 injured after gunfight

SAN LUIS RIO COLORADO, Mexico (KYMA, KECY)- Two men are killed and three others are seriously injured in a gunfight in San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico.

Tribuna de San Luis says police received reports of the gunfight Thursday morning on Avenida Bolivia between Calle San Amadeoan and Colonia Topahue.

Two out of the three men that were seriously injured were transferred to the hospital in Mexicali where they continue to fight for their life.

Reports say one of the men hospitalized in Mexicali was shot in the head twice.

A 61-year-old and a 32-year-old died at the scene of the gunfight, according to Tribuna de San Luis.

The man hospitalized in San Luis Rio Colorado is in police custody.

Witnesses say they saw the confrontation between the men and managed to hide after hearing gunshots.

Police continue to investigate the crime.
