The Mexican Army turns 107 years old!
Service members are recognized for their hard work and dedication
MEXICALI, B.C. (T3)-Service members gathered in Mexicali Wednesday morning to celebrate their 107th birthday.
The Mexican Army has become a fundamental piece in the fight against crimes and terrorism.
The governor of Baja California, Jaime Bonilla Valdez, expressed his admiration for the Mexican soldiers during Wednesday morning's speech.
Bonilla starts off by saying how much he appreciates the military, expressing to service members how one of his family members also serves the country.
Throughout Bonilla's speech, soldiers expressed their gratitude and pride in serving their country.
This year, the Mexican Army's birthday ceremony was held at the Plaza Centenario.
The local government was also present and recognized the soldiers for their hard work and dedication for serving their country.
As of now, there are currently 3,628 soldiers serving in Baja California.
