Indiana woman gives birth during Cleveland Browns-Indianapolis Colts game
INDIANAPOLIS, Indi. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A relative of Cleveland Browns player David Bell gave birth at Lucas Oil Stadium during the game on Sunday.
Tylan Jones had everything planned for the delivery of her third baby, but baby Kemry wanted to make a big entrance.
"I had a talk with her and said, 'You cannot come on this day,'" Jones joked.
While at the Colts game to watch her cousin David Bell, a wide receiver with the Browns, she went into labor. Jones delivered Kemry inside Lucas Oil Stadium.
"I'll just tell her she's a Lucas Oil baby," Jones spoke.
A new fan favorite
Bell, number 18 for the Browns is a Warren Central and Purdue grad, and now has a new favorite fan.
"He was shocked...just as shocked as I was. I think he's happy about it," Jones shared.
At the stadium, medics with Indianapolis University (IU) Health helped deliver Kemry. One medic said they're prepared for any medical emergency at the stadium, but this was their first baby delivery.
Jones says she's thankful for what the medical team did, but still feels overwhelmed from what happened.
"I'm still in shock you know. Like, everyone comes in and is like, 'You had a crazy day [on Sunday]' and I'm like, 'Yeah, it was crazy,'" Jones expressed.
Jones says being able to have her family together for Bell and their newest member made the win even more memorable.
