Idaho suspect appears in Pennsylvania court

MONROE COUNTY, Penn. (NBC) - The suspect in the brutal Idaho killings is in a Pennsylvania court Tuesday for an extradition hearing.

Suspect Bryan Kohberger will not fight extradition.

His public defender told "Today" that his client was "calm" before the hearing. He said he also believes he'll be fully exonerated.

Police arrested Kohberger at his parents' house in Pennsylvania for allegedly stabbing four university of Idaho students in an off-campus home.

Once Kohberger arrives back in Idaho, the families of the victims have said they'll be at the hearings, with one father telling NBC earlier, "I want him to be sick of seeing us."

The 28-year-old was a doctoral student in the criminal justice and criminology department at Washington State University.

He drove cross-country with his father back to Pennsylvania for the holiday.

His family released a statement days ago saying they're cooperating with law enforcement and expressed sympathy for the families of the victims.
