Russia abandons strategic area in Ukraine
UKRAINE (KYMA, KECY/CNN) - A crowd of peaceful protestors were met with explosions and gunfire in Russian occupied Enerhodar.
The attack occurred Saturday.
After five weeks of battling, Russian troops are retreating from Bucha which is a town just outside the Ukrainian capitol.
Video recording displays the aftermath in which bodies are seen scattered all over the streets.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated, "The withdrawal is slow but noticeable. Somewhere they are expelled with battles. Somewhere they leave positions on their own.”
Around 4 thousand people were evacuated from Ukraine Saturday.
Satellite images show Russian troops have left a strategic Airport which was captured the first day of the war.
The Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had this to say about the news, "Don't trust the de-escalation of Putin because this could be words without deeds. And if - Putin is just regrouping."
Both Germany and the United States have been sending aid to Ukraine in the form of combat equipment, vehicles and money.
