CBP: Mexican man dies after falling from border wall in June near San Luis

He was transported to YRMC by the San Luis Fire Department and was later pronounced dead

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KECY, KYMA) - According to a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) press release, the man was found at the base of the wall bleeding from his head and was pronounced dead after being taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center by the San Luis Fire Department.

CBP said he was one of four men seen climbing the fence on border patrol cameras.

A second man also fell off the wall but did not die.

A third man was rescued by the San Luis Fire Department from the top of the wall, and the other was arrested on the ground.

According to the most recent update from the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, 14 migrants have died this year in Yuma County.
