Man died in collision in Yuma County

ROLL, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) responded to a collision of a vehicle involving agricultural equipment.

In a press release, the incident happened on Tuesday at approximately 1:30pm in the area of County 4th Street and Avenue 42E.

The investigation revealed that a white 2012 Ford Mustang lost control and collided with a parked agricultural trailer.

As a result, the passenger suffered major injuries and had to go to a Phoenix area hospital.

However, the driver, 25-year-old Jose Echeveria Cordova of Salinas, CA, died on scene.

While alcohol did not factor in the collision, the investigation remains ongoing.
