California suspect arrested following stolen car chase

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - A high-speed stolen car chase ended on the I-10 in Indio late Monday night.

The chase started in Temple City when the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LACSD) ran a license plate and discovered the car was stolen.

The driver then took off, hitting 110 miles an hour as he raced east through the Southland. He went so far east a news chopper had to land for fuel.

Finally, the driver stopped on the I-10 in Indio, and is now in custody.
