Four Californians survive a Tesla cliff plunge

SAN MATEO COUNTY, Calif. (NBC) - Four people are alive after a Tesla plunged over a cliff on Monday.

Authorities received reports of a Tesla that went off the roadway and down a cliff shortly before 11:00am at Devil's Slide in San Mateo County.

Two adults and two children were inside when it plunged down a cliff at a distance estimated to be 250-feet.

Crews were able to remove all four victims from the vehicle.

According to police, both the children and the two adults did not suffer non-life-threatening injuries.

It is not clear why the vehicle went off the roadway.
