Agents rescue migrant from drowning in Salinity Canal

Five migrants discovered attempting to enter the United States

(KYMA, KECY) - On Thursday, January 3, Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents rescued a migrant from the Salinity Canal.

At about 9:45 p.m., agents were told about five migrants attempting to enter the United States by crossing the canal, though one man was struggling against the current.

An agent used a vehicle tow strap to pull the man to safety.

The migrant did not require any medical assistance and the five men were to taken in for processing.
