Border Patrol agents rescue three individuals after being lost

OCOTILLO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Border Patrol agents rescued three individuals after being lost and dehydrated.

U.S. Border Patrol agents said the incident happened Tuesday evening. The California Highway Patrol made a call regarding an individual in distress after illegally crossing the U.S. The individual stated he was with two others and said they needed water.

Agents responded to the location immediately and found two people along County Road S-2 near the Coyote Mountains, north of Ocotillo. Soon after, they located a third person south of the highway.

Agents said one man was dehydrated and required intravenous therapy and oxygen due to low oxygen levels.

The other two did not need medical attention. Agents processed all three individuals and expelled two men and a 17-year-old back to Mexico.
