FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Rain chances now spreading to Imperial County as they remain in Yuma

Excessive temperatures will potentially be coming to an end as rain chances are still expected to come through

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Historically hot and dry conditions will continue across the region going into the weekend.

Thunderstorm chances will increase, first across higher terrain going into the weekend, and then eventually across lower deserts by the end of the weekend and extending into early next week.

However, temperatures expected to still remain well above normal going through the middle of next week.
