Arizona Supreme Court rules Senate can keep audit records secret
(KYMA, KECY/ AP News) - The Arizona Supreme Court has ruled that the state Senate can keep hundreds of emails and other records related to its partisan review of the 2020 election secret.
According to the ruling, this is because they are “privileged” and exempt from disclosure under state public records law.
The unanimous ruling means the public will likely never know much of what and who was fully involved in the Senate audit.
The firm Cyber Ninjas was the group hired to oversee the audit of computers and to recount 2.1 million ballots cast by hand.
In its final report - the Cyber Ninjas did raise a series of other claims about potential problems with the election, most which have since been disproven.
