YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Local military families got to participate in a timeless easter tradition today.
The United Services Organization of Arizona.
Or USO, held its first ever Easter egg hunt at West Wetlands Park in Yuma.
Over 170 families came out for the event, where kids got to look throughout the park for eggs, which they could then turn in for prizes.
USO Arizona operations and program manager Stephanie Stech says the event was well received by the families.
“It’s absolutely exciting and so much fun I think everybody’s having a great time, we’ve definitely had a great time putting it on, it’s so much fun getting to see all the families and giving them something to do on a Saturday morning,” Stech said.
The event started at 10:00 a.m, and lasted until 11:30.
