Forensic workers find 11 bodies buried in makeshift graves

Forensic workers in Sonora discovered eleven bodies in makeshift graves in San Luis, Mexico

SONORA, Mexico (KYMA, KECY) - Forensic workers in Sonora made a chilling discovery of eleven bodies buried in makeshift graves in San Luis, Mexico.

The bodies were found this past weekend, just south of the city.

The state government is requesting family members with missing loved ones to submit for DNA testing to help identify victims.

State workers with the help of a non-profit group known as "Buscando", meaning "looking" in English helped uncover the bodies.

Two women are part of the eleven who were buried.

Clothing and additional personal items were found next to the bodies.

San Luis, Mex. has faced a violent year so far with nearly 40 killings in the first two months of the year, more than Jan. and Feb. of the last four years.
