Avocado prices may rise due to halting imports

(KYMA, KECY/CBS) - Avocado imports from Mexico have temporarily halted in the United States and may raise prices by creating a shortage.

A U.S. inspector was delivered a threat that halted imports until further notice and one chief executive in agriculture says it could be a major impact.

Prices of avocados are already higher than in 2021 so it's possible a single avocado could go up to $5.
