Supreme Court asked to review Bill Cosby’s overturned conviction

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - Prosecutors in Pennsylvania are asking the U.S. Supreme Court to review Bill Cosby's overturned sexual assault conviction.

In April 2018, the former actor and comedian was found guilty of aggravated indecent assault. But in June, Cosby was released from prison after the State Supreme Court overturned his conviction.

The panel of judges said in their opinion that a former Montgomery County District Attorney's decision to not prosecute Cosby in 2005, in return for his deposition in a civil case, was ultimately used against him at trial.
