Telephone and internet service restored following outage caused by vandalism

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY)-The El Centro Fire Department (ECFD) says AT&T residential and businesses in the northwest part of the city have restored phone and internet service after vandalism outage on Tuesday.

ECFD says the outage caused an interruption in landlines, causing interruption access to the 911 system.

Repair crews worked through the night and day to complete the necessary repairs.

If you continue to have problems with your phone service, you should contact your telephone service provider.

The ECFD Headquarters telephone system has been brought back online and is fully operational.
