Non-Profit offers tools to new job seekers

Arizona@work offers young people help landing their next position

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - As restrictions are lifted, employers throughout the Desert Southwest are looking to hire. At the same time a wave of recent graduates and those already looking for work are all hitting the pavement.

Arizona@Work offers young job seekers between the ages of 16 and 24 programs to help them land their first, or their next job. The non-profit has programs online or at their site at the Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Center.

"We can offer different job leads because we work with different employers in the community that we connect with. We can refer students to them if they're looking for employment". said Lidia Blackthunder with Arizona@work.

The agency can also help young adults get their diplomas or GED's.
