YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Public Health District confirmed six new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) Sunday, bringing the total to 199.

While hundreds of tests were administered countywide as part of Arizona's "Testing Blitz" Saturday, those tests take around 48 hours to be finalized. Therefore, a spike in cases is not expected until early next week.

The death toll remains at 3.

The county also sees a decrease in hospitalizations dropping by three patients in one day. Still, the county has not released information regarding COVID-19 recoveries.

The latest statistics indicate two new patients are female and four are male. The 20-44 age range continues with the highest number of cases, making up 42 percent of the total infected population.
