PHOENIX, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A major pileup involving two semis and several vehicles shut down a Phoenix highway for several hours Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters treated eight people at the scene of the crash on the 202 South Mountain Freeway. Four people had to go to the hospital.
About 20-gallons of fuel spilled onto the roadway before crews managed to cut off a leak from a tanker truck.
A second big rig was transporting tanks of oxygen and acetylene. Fortunately the tank got damaged, but were not ruptured.
