Campaign: Sanders had heart attack

Bernie Sanders’ campaign confirms the 78-year-old presidential candidate suffered a heart attack earlier this week in Las Vegas.

Sanders went to a hospital Tuesday night complaining of chest pains. Doctors placed two stents in a blocked artery. They say Vermont Senator is making good progress. They released him Friday morning.

Sanders says he’s feeling great. He says he’s looking forward to getting back to work.

The Senator is expected to return to Vermont to continue his recovery.
