MCAS Yuma noise operational program

The increase in operations at the Marin Corp Air Station in Yuma has had the base reevaluate it’s safety procedures when in the air and around the city of Yuma.

The Air Installations Compatible Use Zone ( AICUZ ) program is designed to help the community be aware of military functions that surround the city keeping safety the priority.

” The impact it has on the noise zones as well as the safety zones which encompass the clear and the accidental potential zones. If a mishap were to happen, it would occur at the highest occurring zone. Off the clear zones further on accidental potential zones, so when an aircraft approaches and departs, those are likely places where mishaps would occur, ” said Gabby Black, the Community Plan and Liaison Officer with MCAS .
