Armed Wisconsin Lyft driver arrested

A former Lyft driver is now behind bars after allegedly pointing a gun at a passenger, according to TMJ 4 in Milwaukee.

According to TMJ 4, The Elm Grove police arrested a 47-year-old man from Milwaukee on charges of endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon and intentionally pointing a firearm at another.

The passengers who reported the attack said it happened Friday night when they asked the driver to make a u-turn and an argument started.

TMJ 4 reports that shortly after the passengers hopped out of the vehicle within minutes, they said the driver started driving towards them. They said that’s when they confronted the driver and he pulled a gun.

As a part of Lyft’s policy, the company doesn’t allow drivers or riders to carry weapons.

Since the incident, the driver will never be able to work for Lyft again, calling his behavior “unacceptable,” reported TMJ 4.
