Man accused of leading police in pursuit appears in court

The man accused of leading police on a short pursuit that resulted in one school going into lockdown appeared in court on Tuesday morning.

Robert Cuen, 33, is charged with two counts of misconduct involving weapons, one count each of unlawful flight from pursuing law enforcement, and aggravated assault per domestic violence.

Cuen was arrested after Yuma police said he approached a victim known to him and pointed a gun at the victim.

His next court hearing is scheduled for August 6, at 8:30 a.m. where the discussion to start a trial or a change in plea will take place.
