YPD arrests man after a domestic disturbance call

A man was arrested on Sunday afternoon after officers responded to a disturbance call at El Encanto Apartments located at 2651 S. 8th Avenue, where officers said the occupant of the apartment had a valid felony warrant.

The Yuma Police Department (YPD) said the call was received on Sunday morning where officers attempted to call out 55-year-old Ronald Bridges, but he would not come out.

According to YPD, The Special Enforcement Team was activated and more callouts were made to Bridges telling him to exit the apartment with no response.

The door was eventually breached by an explosive and Bridges finally exited the apartment and taken into custody at 4:18 p.m. officers said.

There were no reported injuries reference to this case.
