Kroger stores recall frozen berries, possible hepatitis contamination
Kroger stores are recalling some frozen berries due to possible hepatitis contamination.
The berries were sold under the store’s ” private selection ” brand.
Kroger says it has been told by the Food and Drug Administration that a sample of the frozen berries tested positive for hepatitis A.
There are no reports of anyone getting sick, but the FDA is advising consumers not to eat frozen fruit purchased from Kroger packaged under Kroger’s ” private selection ” brand.
The recalled products are the 16 and 48-ounce private selection frozen triple berry medley, and the 16-ounce private selection frozen blackberries.
