Jury finds local student not guilty of threatening to harm classmates, one of two counts
Karl Manaig, the Imperial High School student accused of making criminal threats against two classmates, has been found not guilty on one count. The other count he was facing resulted in a hung jury, according to attorneys in the case.
The jury reviewed testimony transcripts last Friday and Monday before coming to the decision.
Manaig was arrested last year after allegedly making threats one day after the Parkland, Fla. school shooting. Twenty-one weapons were found at his home including assault rifle-type firearms.
We are waiting for more information regarding the count that ended with a hung jury.
