Agents with Yuma Sector Border Patrol Search, Trauma, and Rescue team partnered with the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma Search and Rescue team to rescue a stranded motorist Monday, according to US Customs and Border Protection.

CBP said Yuma Sector Communications relayed information from the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office about two stranded motorists near Kofa range, one a 54-year-old man complaining of chest and abdominal pain.

The 54-year-old man was traveling with his wife and had been stranded for a total of six hours with no food or water.

His wife had remained with the vehicle.

BORSTAR agents coordinated with MCAS SAR for air support, who located both motorists a short time later.
