Power restored for Wellton residents

UPDATE (2:25 P.M.)

Officials with the Wellton-Mohawk Irrigation & Drainage District said it is unknown why the power outages occurred Tuesday evening. The district said there were issues with faulty transmission lines that took out a substation breaker.

Irrigation district crews were able to restore power by 11:30 to 11:45 p.m. Tuesday. Residents were without power for about two hours.

We are receiving reports of power outages happening in the Wellton area Tuesday night.

News 11 has contacted Wellton-Mohawk Irrigation & Drainage District who could not provide further details.
