Police seek suspect in wallet theft that was caught on camera

Yuma Police Department is searching for a female suspect in connection to a wallet theft at a Walmart store on January 19.

The police department said the incident happened between 11:00 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. at the Walmart located at 2501 South Avenue B. Surveillance video at the store caught the unknown elderly woman taking a wallet that was left behind in a shopping cart being used by the victim. Authorities estimate the loss of property at $1,032.

YPD is asking the public to help identify the woman as she is the suspect in this case.
