Pet Talk: Meet Eli and Diesel

Eli is a brown and white domestic long-haired cat. He’s so small that most would think he was a kitten, but his papers say he is almost four-years-old. He was found in the city of Yuma without any tags and brought to the shelter early this month.

Eli is one of the most vocal cats we’ve ever featured on Pet Talk and seems to get along with other felines. He’s not too big on playing but does enjoy being held. He is estimated to weigh about seven pounds and is ready to meet you.

Next, we have the large and somewhat in charge, Diesel. He is said to be a Boxer-Great Dane mix. Diesel loves people. His favorite activities include going for daily walks and swimming. He’s great with kids and loves showing off his commands when treats are involved.

At almost two-years-old, Diesel deserves a family that is going to give him lots of attention. A dog that size needs it. Surprisingly he is more of an inside dog, but it’s important that his owners allow him to get the right amount of exercise he needs. He is neutered and has been at the shelter since the end of December.

If you are interested either Eli or Diesel, you can call the Humane Society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621. They are open Tuesday through Sunday.
