Commercial fire extinguished by El Centro fire
On August 18 at about 4:20 p.m., El Centro Police and Fire Dispatch received a report of smoke coming from a commercial business on the 100 block of E. Ross Avenue in El Centro.
The first fire unit was on scene by 4:25 and saw that a commercial building had smoke coming from the roof and metal roll-up doors.
El Centro fire entered the burning building to perform search and rescue and to extinguish the fire.
The fire did not spread to other buildings around it with only minimal smoke and water damage reported.
A total of 17 firefighters were on scene with zero injuries reported.
