4th Congressional District Democratic candidate stops in Yuma
Another Democrat is tossing his hat in the race for U.S. Congress.
Dr. David Brill from Prescott is looking on to take incumbent Congressman Paul Gosar.
The 4th Congressional District covers much of western and central Arizona, including Yuma. On Friday, Brill is making a promise to use his experience in education and in the healthcare field to effectively represent his constituents.
“I’m running out of gratitude for the great life and the training that I’ve gotten in life,” said Brill.
Brill launched his campaign this week inviting all to a campaign kickoff event on Sunday, February 18th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the historic Elks Theatre Ballroom in Prescott.
“I’ve been working with and organizing our campaign here in Yuma and especially getting to know the interests and needs of the district.”
Brill said he wants to focus on solutions that work now, without weighing down the next generation.
“One thing I would do for the millennials is quickly make sure that we give them college loans and a price that they can afford instead of the prices that are available to them. Now, where the federal government actually makes money on them. Really?”
Brill isn’t the only candidate in this race. Ana Marie Perez from Prescott also threw her hat in the ring. The winner of that race will most likely run against Rep. Paul Gosar.
Brill said some of his top priorities are healthcare, education in rural areas, and focusing on our next generation.
