Border Wars: 2 women caught smuggling

In Border Wars news, just another example of just how vital drug detection canine’s are in the war against the drug trade. On Sunday, U.S. Customs Officers were alerted to an Arizona woman attempting to cross into the U.S. Once in secondary officers were able to locate 64-pounds of heroin; street value estimated at close to half a million dollars.

Hours later, a drug canine alerted agents to another vehicle, this time driven by a woman from the Los Angeles area. The woman was sent to secondary where officers found 29-pounds of meth and 13-pounds of cocaine; estimated street value close to a quarter of a million dollars. Both women were turned over to Homeland Security.
