Son of Mexican drug kingpin turns himself in to authorities
The son of a Mexican drug kingpen handed himself over to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration this week in Calexico.
According to one of our sources, as well as several media outlets across the world, Damaso Lopez Serrano is now in U.S. custody.
He is the son of Damaso Lopez Nuñez, who was arrested by Mexican authorities in May.
At the time of his arrest he was believed to be fighting for control of the Sinaloa Drug Cartel against the sons of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, who was extradited to the U.S. in 2016.
